The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is staging its 2nd Classic Transport Festival on Sunday 6th August and everyone is invited to get involved with this spectacular event which last year saw the Town Centre come alive with Classic Vehicles and spectators! The Hospice, who provide care and support to patients with a life-limiting illness, are encouraging the community to come out in force once again to support this fantastic event. Families and car enthusiasts are welcome to come along to the town centre to view the cars, motor cycles and scooters. Spectators are free!
Entrants are invited to take part in the Classic Run which leaves from the Mary Ann Evans Hospice, travelling a scenic route through North Warwickshire and finishing in Nuneaton town centre, where the vehicles will be on display. The entry fee of £15 includes refreshments at the start, rally board, commemorative plaque and a Dominos Personal Pizza voucher to be used on the day.
Alternatively, owners not wishing to take part in the run can display their vehicles in the town centre for just £5, which also includes the commemorative plaque and Dominos Personal Pizza voucher to be used on the day.
The hospice would like to express their thanks to the Arbury Motor Group, CV2 Self Drive and Best Western Weston Hall Hotel who have sponsored this year’s event, as well as to Domino’s Pizza, Cartridge World, Morton’s Vintage Hire, Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council, the Nuneaton Business Alliance and Findabiz who are all involved in organising or making donations towards the event.
Phillip Titchmarsh, Dealer Principal for Arbury Motor Group said “Arbury are delighted to this year be supporting the Mary Ann Evans Hospice through attending the Classic Transport Festival. We wanted to recognise and promote the excellent work the Hospice provides for those within the local area and what better way than to display our new Peugeot and Citroen cars against the stunning classic cars of the past”
Daniel Johnston, Area Manager for Nuneaton and Bedworth Dominos said “All of us at Domino’s Pizza are delighted to be able to support this event. We have been providing Nuneaton with great tasting pizza for over 15 years now. In which time, we have seen the extent to which the Mary Ann Evans Hospice has contributed towards both our residents in need, and the local community as a whole.
Personally, I can’t wait to see this year’s line-up of cars, bikes and commercial vehicles. But whether it’s nice cars, doing your bit for a great cause, or just a great afternoon out with the family you are looking for, the classic transport festival will have you covered.”
