#Crewcut – What Do Will You Do?

There’s been so much uncertainty recently but if there’s one thing we’re sure of; it’s that we’ve been bang on trend with our hair during the pandemic. Don’t get us wrong we all have fabulous hair stylists, but they’ve not been able to get their mitts on our locks for some time now.

So we’re thinking let’s try something a little different. Instead of braving the shave, grow your hair out for Mary Ann asking for donations from your crew. The fun being that one of your crew will get to do or choose your next hair cut once the hairdressers are back up & running? Don’t forget to post the before and after of your crazy cut on Facebook. Tag Mary Ann Evans Hospice and your local hairdresser alongside #crewcut so we can share it across our social media.

HairStory by Liz Hancock, CEO – Mary Ann Evans Hospice

I’ve had many different hairstyles over the years and in 2016 I even lost my hair completely due to receiving chemotherapy treatment. When my hair started to grow back I settled on quite short styles but finally persevered and grew it out to my current style. During Lockdown 1 I still continued to have my hair cut as my daughter, who lives at home, is a hairdresser (lucky me!). Despite this I have agreed to support Mary Ann’s new campaign and promise not to have my hair cut until the hairdressers can reopen.

Like so many of us, lockdown has meant my hair has gone on an interesting journey this past year. I have an amazing hairdresser who takes great care of me usually – sadly owing to the current situation she’s unable to work her magic on me. This is where #crewcut comes in, my hair has grown so much, lets have a bit of fun with it in these unprecedented times!
