Every Friday we’re looking to give something back and show what we are grateful for this week! We know that charities don’t run on rainbows and sunshine. So we often have to ask for your help, whether that is supporting one of our fantastic campaigns or even sharing a little of your precious time to help us out.
To say thank you to everyone, big or small, we want to show you we truly are grateful for everything you do for us. So here are our big thank yous this week.
MND Peer Support Group
We’re super happy about this one and so grateful to everyone, staff and volunteers who helped us get it started. We finally welcomed back a small number of service-users in a group to the Hospice!
Thursday the 27th May 2021 was the launch of our face to face group sessions. We have 4 patients attend for an MND peer support group. All patients enjoyed a meet and greet session including a lovely afternoon tea which was prepared by one of our amazing volunteers.
Below is selection of photos from the group.
Fundraising Thank You
A huge thank you to Samantha Green of Flotolove who has agreed to do a Wing Walk to raise money for Mary Ann! She has been fundraising across the lockdown and had her Wing Walk suspended once. Her determination and enthusiasm to raise money for Mary Ann is truly admirable!
Another big thank you to our Day Services Team Lead, Hannah Richards, who is doing a sky dive for Mary Ann Evans Hospice! We think it’s great that one of our team members wants to give something back! So please help Hannah reach her goal!
