We ask that every participant also raises a minimum sponsorship amount for Mary Ann. Any money raised in connection with the event is held on trust for Mary Ann and must be passed to Mary Ann. We ask that all participants do this as soon as possible after the event.

By signing up to the London Marathon, you pledge to raise a minimum of £2000. We ask that all sponsorship money be passed to Mary Ann within two months following the event. All sponsorship money raised will go towards the running of Mary Ann. You can: Pay via your event online giving page, pay over the phone by credit or debit card by calling 02476 865440 send a cheque payable to Mary Ann Evans Hospice, Eliot Way, Nuneaton, CV10 7QL or send an online transfer - please contact the Events team for details at maehenquiries@geh.nhs.uk.

Please be aware that this event is a physically strenuous activity and will need a certain amount of training and preparation before participating on the day. It is therefore strongly recommended that all participants seek medical guidance from their GP as to their suitability for the event itself, and the training and preparation that they will need to do prior to the event.

Mary Ann cannot be held responsible for any injury or illness incurred during participants' preparation and/or participation in the event.
By registering, all participants confirm they are of minimum age for the event on event day, as set by the event organisers.

All participants acknowledge that Mary Ann may incur costs as a result of them signing up for a place, e.g. for a Mary Ann t-shirt or vest. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship as possible to ensure these costs are covered and as much money as possible goes towards the service users in Mary Ann's care.

London Marathon is a third-party managed event. By registering to participate on behalf of Mary Ann, participants personal data may be shared with the event organiser in order to ensure and facilitate participation in this event.

Mary Ann will contact you about your participation in this event with important information, support and fundraising ideas. We will not send you any other marketing by email, text or telephone unless you have provided your permission for us to do so. We may send you marketing by post in line with our Privacy Policy, available at maryannevans.org.uk/privacy-notice.

Mary Ann may use images and footage of participants at this event under our legitimate interest to publicise Mary Ann and our work. Images and footage will be used across media such as television broadcasts, advertising, print and digital publications, marketing material, merchandising, social media, personalised direct mail, and other media that may be available to the public. If you do not want your image used in these ways, please tell the photographer on the day.

Filming and Photography at The Event

Please note that Mary Ann (or our authorised service providers) or our commercial partners may film or photograph participants, volunteers and spectators attending or taking part in events and use such footage or photographs. We do this in order to publicise the event for commercial and/or fundraising purposes including, but not limited to: television broadcasts, advertising, publications, marketing material, merchandising, social media, personalised direct mail and other media that may be made available to the public. Secondly, to enable our commercial partners to publicise their involvement and/or association with the event.

Your Privacy Rights

The data you’ve provided will be used by Mary Ann Evans Hospice to confirm attendance and provide you with information about the event and the fundraising activities you’ve agreed to take part in. To help us better understand our supporters, and to tailor our communication with you, we may analyse the information you provide. We sometimes use information from public sources. If you’ve provided a postal address, we will contact you in this way with marketing we believe you’ll be interested in, unless you've told us not to.
