Senior Practitioner Family Support and Bereavement Services
Job summary
We are looking to appoint a registered Health or Social care professional for an exciting opportunity to join the Family Support and Bereavement team on a part time basis. We are looking for someone with experience of working with adults and/or children (5-18 years old) in bereavement support. You will be working either in one to one sessions or in groups and using your skills to support. The service is available Monday to Friday from 8.30 – 4.30pm. This post is to work 22.5 hours during these times.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are supporting a caseload of adults and children who require support with a bereavement or imminent death of a loved one using a person-centred approach. To work closely with the Family Support and Bereavement team, including volunteers, to assist with the assessment and therapeutic support of clients and the management of the service. Work with the Team Lead and other colleagues across the Hospice to advocate and develop emotional support provision.
