Meet the Runners – Keith Morton
It has been a strange year for our London Marathon runners. Usually by this point in the year their truimph complete, we would be posting images with the big cheque and celebrating how much they have raised. However, 2020 has been a rather unusual year. The main event postponed from it’s usual April date, as the UK was in a nationwide lockdown, time is now upon us for the virtual marathon on Sunday 4th October.
This year we will be featuring our runners on our website and across our social media in their own words, and in some cases pictures, so you can offer them a bucketload of Team Mary Ann support!
Here is Keith in his own words;
“My running story began in March 2018 but I have always found myself really bitten by the bug. Having run a couple of half marathons. I am very excited to have been chosen to run the London Marathon 2020. It is an honour to be running in support of Mary Ann Evans Hospice who provide tremendous support for our local community. I am training hard and look forward to the race on October 4th. I would really appreciate it if you can support me in any way you feel you can. Look out for me on the day and give me a cheer! as this year I will be running the event virtually around our local community. I will be setting off from my village of Bulkington but my route will take me through Nuneaton, Shilton and other local villages.”
