Pre-bereavement support
Caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness and preparing to say goodbye is incredibly hard. We are here to provide emotional support to adults and children (from the age of 5 years old) to help you cope with what is happening and prepare for the future.
Adult bereavement support
Going through a bereavement can be a very lonely and isolating time. Our adult support sessions provide a space for you to offload and express your feelings in a confidential, supportive space. We recognise that grief is not something you ever "get over" - but we can help you learn to manage and live with your grief. Our adult bereavement support is provided through individual 1:1 sessions working with a member of staff or a trained volunteer, or in a supportive group session with others who are at a similar stage in their grief.
Children's bereavement support
Children grieve and express their emotions in very different ways to adults. We are here to help children make sense of a death, understand their grief and create their own first aid kit of coping strategies. All of our children's emotional support sessions are bespoke, utilising creative ways of working that are appropriate to the age of the child and capture their specific interests. Parents/guardians help to form the basis of the sessions and are kept informed of their child's progress throughout.
