Meet Our Marathon Runners – Part1:

On the Run up to the 2022 London Marathon, we wanted to introduce you to our runners and the motivations behind them supporting Mary Ann.

“Mary Ann Evans have helped a lot of family members in the past,

I wanted to run for a cause that is close to my family and we all never think it will be us that needs the service!

Raising money to a local charity which helps so many local people means much more and feels more personal.

No one should have to go through cancer but unfortunately people do.”

“A close friend of ours Mother was recently in your hospice and has recently passed away. We were comforted by the outstanding reference that was given for your care, service and support. Having had family members require end of life care previously we are aware of how hard it is for the family and can only appreciate the support you have provided.

I have previously run a half marathon, and London Marathon has always been a dream.

I would love to run to support a charity that has received such a glowing review.

To raise the money I have a network of business relationships as I run my own business who would be able to offer corporate sponsorship.”
